The Sharee'ah did not prohibit us from covering the feet up to the ankles, but it only prohibited us from lowering the garment below the ankles, this is because of the pride and conceit that the one who does so might have, and because of the impurity that may stain the garment from the ground.

What is the forbidden sleeping position in Islam?
According to jurists, it is reprehensible to sleep lying down on one`s belly. The evidence on this is the narration in which the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Lying down this way is disapproved by Allah" {Abu Dawoud}.
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “One should not sleep before the night prayer, nor have discussions after it” [SB 574]. Additionally, Muslims are required to wake up for Fajr prayer, which is about one hour before sunrise. The Prophet did not sleep after Fajr prayer.
Abdullah Abdullah The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade remaining alone: that a person sleep alone, or that they travel alone. [Ahmad, Musad, from Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him)] This prohibition is for discouragement–dislikedness (karaha), as mentioned by the majority of the scholars.

While Islam doesn't necessarily deem sitting on a pillow as haram, it's always wise to consider the broader principles of respect and appropriate usage.
Sleeping after Fajr is bad. But being concerned and worried about the dreams that one sees at that time is even worst. The most accurate of dreams are those that are seen before Fajr can even set in. The most inaccurate dreams are those after the time of Fajr expires.
Therefore, sleeping after Fajr is not appropriate for Muslims, since they actually were ordered to stay awake after Fajr and spend time by praying or remembering Allah until the sun has risen.

There is no bar to doing so but there is a thought that the less clothing you sleep with, the more you ought to change and/ or clean your bedding, even if only from a hygiene perspective. That a Muslim would choose not to sleep in underwear is only a moral act so to speak.
During the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), gold was often associated with extravagance, arrogance, and social status. The prohibition of gold for men may have been intended to discourage these negative qualities and promote humility and modesty among believers.
All four schools of thought hold the position that it is only prohibited or sinful to lower the garment below the ankles for those who do it out of pride. This was also the view of Ibn Taymiyyah. So, in this society and culture where lowering the garments is not used for showing off, the prohibition does not apply.
None should prevent people from performing the prayer in clean and pure socks that do not entail any harm, nor turn them away from the mosques because of such socks, for it is unanimously agreed that it is permissible to perform the prayer therewith, be it with the intention of wiping over them or not, and be it inside ...
Activities that invalidate wudu include urination, defecation, flatulence, deep sleep, light bleeding (depending on madhhab), menstruation, postpartum status, and sexual intercourse. Wudu is often translated as "partial ablution", as opposed to ghusl, which translates to "full ablution", where the whole body is washed.
