Male racegoers often wear smart trousers, collared shirt and formal shoes. Ladies are encouraged to wear a hat. There is no formal restriction on wearing jeans, however they are rarely seen. If you do wear jeans please ensure they are dark denim only and should not be frayed, torn or ripped.

Can you take chairs into Newmarket races?

If you have a Garden Enclosure ticket then you are more than welcome to bring your own gazebo and fold up chairs. Once the last race has finished we do ask you to return your items to your car before entering the other enclosures to watch the music.

Generally the artists will come on stage around 15 minutes after the last race and perform for approximately 75 to 90 minutes and do not have a warm up act beforehand. Please note, the set time of the artist differs for each event.
