At this point, I should probably point out that in Winter Wonderland, cash is definitely King. There are quite a few ATMs dotted around the park so you can get cash out but most places won't accept cards. Also, to get on the rides you need to purchase tickets at the special booths as the rides don't accept cash either.
Canada's Wonderland has moved to all cashless payments and accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Interact Direct Payment, Apple Pay, Google Pay, WePay/AliPay for park admission, restaurants and gift shops. The park also has Cash-to-Card kiosks where you can convert your cash into a prepaid debit card.
While you can use cash at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, all our bars and stalls accept contactless payments. You will also be able to use contactless payments at our rides, token booths and games.
Can you buy tickets to Winter Wonderland at the gate?
Whether you're 2 or 92, you must have an entry ticket to access Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. You're able to turn up at the event and buy tickets on arrival, however during popular periods time slots sell out in advance, so we strongly recommend pre-booking before you visit.

Can I just walk into Winter Wonderland?
Winter Wonderland is open daily from 10am to 10pm (except Christmas Day) – last entry is at 9.30pm. Visitors are required to enter Winter Wonderland at the allocated time slot on their entry ticket. However, once inside you can stay for as long as you'd like.
A pint of Bavarian Gold costs £7.75; a 200ml serving of mulled wine is £7.10. When drinks are served in a ceramic mug or a stein, a £5 deposit is charged.
The evening session in the Bavarian Hall (6pm - 10pm) is for those aged 18+ only and all guests will require a valid identification document confirming an age of 18 or over.
Cash to card kiosks and Reverse ATMs are pretty straightforward: you feed the machine cash, and it loads the equivalent amount onto a prepaid card—almost like magic, but it's all technology! They are user-friendly and designed for quick, hassle-free transactions.

If you only want to go on 4 rides all day due to waiting in line, then don't get the fast passes. If you want to do 15 to 20 rides in a day, then spend the money and get the passes. Totally worth it.

Plan your visit and book rides/attractions in advance of visiting – the site is a big one, so it helps. Keep an eye on discount sites as they often have some great deals leading up to Christmas that can be used at Winter Wonderland.
At about £15 per person it was well worth the money and I fully recommend visiting if you are there. Winter Wonderland itself is free but 2022 saw the introduction of tickets that need to be booked on line where you state your arrival time within the hour. So, don't forget to do this.
With so much to see and do at Winter Wonderland, it's difficult to say exactly how long you'll need. Most people spend at least five hours here, but many are known to spend the entire day and night. With the attraction open from 10am to 10pm, you could really make a full day of it.
