Unlike his smaller glass works or prints, estimating the price of Chihuly installations is nearly impossible. The artist's large-scale installations are often entirely bespoke, one-of-a-kind creations. The value is dependent on many factors including size, complexity, composition, provenance, and exhibition history.
In 1976, while Chihuly was in England, he was involved in a head-on car accident that propelled him through the windshield. His face was severely cut by glass and he was blinded in his left eye. After recovering, he continued to blow glass until he dislocated his right shoulder in 1979 while bodysurfing.
Chihuly has described the Bridge of Glass as "the gateway that welcomes people to Tacoma." It is accessible and free to the public 24 hours a day, lighting up during the nighttime.
Typically, visitors spend about 1 to 2 hours exploring the Space Needle. The sunset creates spectacular views from the Space Needle, though mornings are less crowded.

It's only scary to people who have a fear of heights. It is a true delight to go downstairs to the level where you can see through the rotating glass floor tho! It's worth the thrill. You paid to get up there so make it worth your money. :D.
The outside glass gardens takes 5-10 minutes for a moderate walk even taking a few snapshots. In 90 minutes you can take your time, read the descriptions of the art, and even spend 10 minutes at the gift shop. If you are an art critic, plan 2-3 hours.
