Based on Overwatch lore, Lucio does not necessarily "hate" Symmetra personally, but he strongly opposes the Vishkar Corporation she works for. Vishkar exploited his community and stole technology, placing them on opposite sides ideologically, with Lucio valuing freedom and Symmetra favoring order.
Symmetra is also autistic, something originally only alluded to in a tie-in comic for the game until a fan asked Kaplan directly and he confirmed it in a letter response.
Truthfully, Lucio can synergize pretty well with practically anyone. For DPS, Flankers and Pharah are at the bottom of the list, but when I play Tracer and I'm cut off from the health packs, I'll find my Lucio for a quick top-up. Frontline DPS like Soldier or McCree are the most obvious fits.
