Lots of people arrive to the park entrances as soon as the subways are running, AND both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will sometimes open before the posted park opening times (usually 9:00AM). So the earlier you arrive the more likely you'll be able to get into the park as soon as it opens.
It depends on composition of your group, but unless you have really small kids, the majority would do 2 days at DisneySea rather than DisneyLand. I'd definitely recommend two at Sea and one at Disneyland.
At Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, you'll use a specially marked entrance. At check-in, the Cast Members will explain where this entrance is. This allows you to enter the Park 15 minutes before it officially opens. The time changes every day, so it'll say on your pass the time you can enter the Park.
Tokyo Disney Resort is crowded, but as a general rule, avoid the weekends and national holidays and visit Tuesday through Friday. The hotels are generally cheaper during this time, too.

The park opens at 8 am most of the time. Check the calendar for your dates. You want to get there at least 30-60 minutes before that. I know that is early especially if you are coming in from Tokyo.
