How long are the queues at Winter Wonderland London?
During busy periods you may have to wait up to 1 hour to enter Winter Wonderland. The Ice rink, Circus, Giant Wheel and Magical Ice Kingdom are now SOLD OUT for Saturday 14th December. Pre-booked ticket holders for the Ice Rink, Circus, Giant Wheel and Magical Ice Kingdom will be allowed fast- track entry to the event.
We asked how long the wait was and were told it could be over an hour. We decided to chance it however and actually only ended up waiting for about 20minutes which wasn't bad. We were entertained by the staff's attempts at keeping the ever-complaining crowd in check. Winter Wonderland is free to enter.
Whether you're 2 or 92, you must have an entry ticket to access Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. You're able to turn up at the event and buy tickets on arrival, however during popular periods time slots sell out in advance, so we strongly recommend pre-booking before you visit.
There is really no best time to go as there is something different as the hours go by. Most families (with children) tend to go in the morning and early afternoon as it is still bright; however, by evening, Winter Wonderland transforms to this magical place with sparkling lights.
December weekends tend to sell out way in advance, so get in quick if you're planning a visit. If you're thinking that entry + ice skating + food + a ride or two for the whole family is starting to sound spendy, there's a way around this.
Once you've entered Winter Wonderland, you can stay as long as you like, so that can be a massive 12 hours if you booked a 10am entry ticket! Last entry is at 9.30pm, some rides and attractions may close their queues early to guarantee everyone who's waiting gets through the experience before we close.
We strongly advise not bringing large bags or luggage to event as we may not be able to accommodate these. We advise only bringing a handbag or small rucksack. We ask all guests to be vigilant and not to leave bags and belongings unattended at any time.
Red Gate. If you're visiting with the family and want to land straight into Santaland, use the Red Gate. You can also pick up your Santaland Unlimited Ride Passes from the Santaland Pass Collection Office.
At about £15 per person it was well worth the money and I fully recommend visiting if you are there. Winter Wonderland itself is free but 2022 saw the introduction of tickets that need to be booked on line where you state your arrival time within the hour. So, don't forget to do this.
