Over its first seven seasons, the Queens Night Market has welcomed over 2 million visitors, helped launch approximately 350 brand-new businesses in New York, and represented over 90 countries through its vendors and their food. In 2022, the event averaged over 15,000 attendees each Saturday night.
The market's founder, John Wang, says he learned of it after a few customers complained to the info booth. “The gist was, one, 'We don't feel safe with that sign up,'” he says.
The Queens Night Market is a large, family-friendly open-air night market in Queens, featuring up to 100 independent vendors selling merchandise, art, and food and featuring small-scale cultural performances, all celebrating the rich cultural diversity and heritage of NYC and Queens.
Because we are subsidizing vendor fees and trying to attract the largest and most diverse audience possible, we want the event to be affordable for everyone. We have a general $5 maximum per item, with $6 limited exceptions.

Do you need a ticket for Queens Night Market?
We're free to attend and open to all again starting July 10th. TICKETS: Because NYC is reopening in a big way, we're still very concerned about overcrowding... especially after a super busy opening night. So, we will still be ticketed our first three weekends.
Another huge perk about the event is beer and wine will be available for purchase and patrons over 21 will be permitted to consume alcohol throughout the entire event grounds. This grassroots phenomenon has turned into an NYC must see and it's long-awaited return is cause for celebration!
