Ertuğrul Bey, based on the historical figure of the same name, is the son of Süleyman Şah and Hayme Hatun, husband of Halime Hatun and İlbilge Hatun, and the father of Gündüz Alp, Savcı Bey and Osman Bey.
In the series Dirilis Ertugrul, she is portrayed as the second wife of Ertugrul Bey, after the death of Ertugrul's wife Halime hatun. Her character is inspired by Ilbilge Hatun, the wife of Ilterish Khagan, First Qaghan of the Second Turkic Khaganate.

Where is Ertugrul Grave?
Ertuğrul, the father of the Osman I (the founder of the empire), has a tomb in Söğüt. Although bearing his name, the museum building is not in the same quarter of Söğüt. Originally the three-storey wooden building was an Ottoman dispensary built in the early 1900s.
After killing Targun, Bala had tensions with Malhun Hatun, who later becomes the second wife, although Bala and Malhun accept each other. Bala later becomes pregnant and gives birth to Osman's second son Alaeddin Ali.
Gökçe eventually asked Süleyman Şah to end her engagement with Ertuğrul as she realised he was in love with Halime. Eventually, Selcan was forgiven by her family for her sins and conceived another child.
The story of the series is centred around the life of Ertuğrul Bey, the father of Ottoman dynasty founder Osman Bey. Bilgiç played the role of Halime Hatun, mother of Osman, but left in 2018, due to changes in the new season.
From her marriage, Hundi Hatun had four sons, including Emir Ali Bey, and two twin daughters. All her children predeceased her and were buried with their parents in Bursa.

On 10 February 2020, Diriliş: Ertuğrul was banned in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Egypt's Dar al-Ifta al-Misriyyah announced it was forbidden to watch the series.
