Reservations are required and may be made up to six months in advance online or by calling (866) 644-6727. A Camp Store offers supplies, firewood, ice, concessions, novelties, and kayak rental seasonally.
There is a parking area right in front of the lodge and it can be used even when it is reserved because there are several public trails around the lodge. These trails follow the edge of the lake in an older growth forest with many oak and beech trees.
Largemouth and smallmouth bass are found in good numbers throughout the lake, with fish over 22 inches possible. Crappie continue to do well in Caesar, with fish reaching 11 inches in 4 years. Saugeye continue to flourish in Caesar Creek, with excellent numbers and sizes.
The 2,830-acre lake provides flood reduction and a whole lot more. The Caesar Creek Region offers many opportunities to enjoy wildlife or recreate in the great outdoors.

The Caesar Creek area was named for a black slave captured by the Shawnee on a raid along the Ohio River. The Shawnee adopted Caesar and gave him this valley as his hunting ground. Caesar lived in this area during the time Blue Jacket was war chief and was said to have gone on many raids with him.
Craig Lake State park is the most remote state park in the system. The park is over 6,900 acres and contains seven lakes and numerous ponds along with a variety of wildlife. Craig Lake itself is 374 acres with six islands.
This 1,685-acre lake is designated for unlimited horsepower. Boaters have access to a section of the Mahoning River at the south end of the lake. Three launch ramps access the lake. Fuel and 100 seasonal docks are available at the marina.
