Gail’s Bakery is a UK-based business and not owned by Israelis, despite being founded in 2005 by Israeli baker Yael (Gail) Mejia and entrepreneur Ran Avidan. The company is currently owned by American investment firm Bain Capital and UK investor Luke Johnson. While it has Jewish roots, it is a British entity, not foreign-owned, and does not fund Israel.
