In Turkey we don't have an obligation such as tipping. No one can force you to leave a tip, however, in hotels and restaurants tipping provides you a better service.
While the country doesn't have a strict tipping culture, some Turkish people may expect to get a small tip when it comes to tourists. However, you don't have to tip anyone if you don't wish to.
Tips or gratuities are custom in Istanbul, or Turkey for that matter. The good news is that tipping (bahşiş) won't hurt your wallet since you are only expected to spend rather humble amounts. But Turks don't tip anywhere.
In these cases, you should consider tipping around 10% of what the equivalent cost would be if you were paying separately. For instance, if you estimate that your dinner at the resort would cost 200 Lira at a regular restaurant, a 20 Lira tip would be appropriate.

Is it rude not to tip at all-inclusive resorts?
