It offers great, safer beaches for surfing and families, a wide range of restaurants, shopping, and vibrant nightlife, making it a "just right" spot for many visitors.
Legian is very popular thanks to the beach and the proximity to Canggu, Kuta and Seminyak. It's not as popular as the other areas are, but this means it's a bit quieter and the restaurants, bars and cafes are a little more understated in some of the other beach towns.
Legian offers a more family-friendly atmosphere, while Seminyak is the most upscale and trendy destination. You might prefer Legian Beach as it sits in between busy Kuta and the slower paced Seminyak.

Legian is very similar. There's a little less choice in Legian than in Kuta, but that's because the Legian area is a little smaller than Kuta. Overall, there's not much in this and even when you compare prices, you won't find massive differences between the two areas. We're going to call this one a draw.
