Products with minimal signs of use and in nearly mint condition are designated as “Grade A.” A product with the grade “B” is still in good shape but has some wear and tear. A product in “Grade C” condition has visible signs of heavy use.
Refurbished (B-grade) mobile phones arrive clean and free of water damage. Though free of cracks or dents, the phone will show light signs of wear. Phone Condition: possible light blemishes on the screen; light scratches or scuffs on back of phone; possible scuff on LCD bezel (if no other signs of wear present)
Grade B products will be in a reasonable condition with marks and scratches noticeably visible to the user, including shiny keys and surfaces around the keyboard. They are refurbished products with signs of previous use, but the functionality remains the same as Grade A products.
Every used mobile device that CeX considers as a buy from the public is checked against the GSMA Device Check database. If the results show that the device has been reported as lost or stolen by a participating operator, CeX will reject the device.

CeX offers an unlocking service in most stores. Unlocking fees start from as little as £5. However, the cost can vary depending on the network provider and make/model of the device to be unlocked. To get an accurate quote, please take your device to your local CeX store.

Provided it is returned with a receipt and we can verify the fault, we can offer a full refund to the original payment method, repair or replace the item, or exchange it for something else of equal value.
We will buy most unboxed hardware, however we do not buy unboxed Optical Media (DVDs, Games, Blu-rays, CDs etc.). Selected Retro Game formats can be bought unboxed; this is mentioned in the items product listing (Mint, Boxed, Unboxed).
CeX can pay for the items it bought in cash/bank transfer or vouchers, as per your choice. The price offered in cash varies from the price offered in voucher or exchange. Vouchers once issued, cannot be transferred by us to any other person and they hold no cash value.
Any items containing (SN) in the name must have the products original serial number, product number or activation code present. Phones, electronics and other hardware: All hardware items require all essential accessories such as; chargers, connectivity cables, dongles etc.
You can take your item(s) back to your nearest CeX store (don't forget your invoice!) and have them processed as per our Returns policy. Alternatively, you can also return it to us by post, for either a refund or replacement.
