C width refers to narrow in men, wide in women. In children's sizes, C will stand for "child" size. Proper width is as crucial as proper length. Each brand fits slightly differently. If unsure, have yourself professionally measured.
Narrow (C): Narrow widths are designed for women with slimmer feet and provide less room across the foot. Shoes with narrow widths are ideal for individuals with narrow or low-volume feet.
Terms like baby, walker, toddler and little kid usually apply to the toddlers' sizes ranging from 0-13, while other terms, like big kid and youth, tend to apply to kids' sizes 1-7.

Brands use different letters to make it easier to tell which shoes are for which ages. Nike use the letter “C” to define their Toddler Child sizing and Adidas use the Letter “K” for their Kids Shoes. How to convert women's shoe sizes to youth. If you normally wear women's shoes and are trying to figure out what youth size would fit you best, the simple youth size to women's shoes conversion: your US size minus 2 = your youth size.
What do C and J stand for? We have split our children's shoes into two categories, Child and Junior, and use C and J for shorthand! For example, “C7” means Child Size 7 and “J4” means Junior Size 4, which equates to a men's size 4 as well.
Medium widths: B, M (for women) and D, M (for men). Think of these as the every-person width. They're usually a safe bet that will fit most people. Wide Widths: C, D, E (for women) and E, EE, EEE (for men).
AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, E, EE, EEE is the typical North American system and follows the Brannock device standards; on this system, B is narrow, C is regular, D is medium, E is wide, EE is extra wide and so on. The unlettered D size is the norm for men, and B for women.
