Failure to pay for items is a violation of our abusive buyer policy. When a seller cancels an order because the buyer hasn't paid, the unpaid cancellation is recorded on the buyer's account. Buyers who have excessive unpaid cancellations may have limits imposed by a seller or by eBay, or lose their buying privileges.
Buyers must pay for the items they purchase on eBay within 4 calendar days. If the buyer doesn't pay within this timeframe, the seller can cancel the order and an unpaid cancellation will be recorded on the buyer's account.
What will happen if you don't pay within a couple of days or so, is that the seller will likely open an Unpaid Item case against you to get the selling fee credited back to their Ebay account. Unless you pay then, you get an Unpaid Item strike slapped on your account.
How to report a buyer. You can also report a buyer from your Sold items list - opens in new window or tab. Choose Leave feedback from the dropdown menu next to the item, and then select Report buyer. We take all reports seriously, but please make sure your claims are accurate.

How many unpaid strikes does eBay allow?
The main "punishment" is that sellers can choose to set a block for anyone with at least 2 unpaid item strikes (or whatever the corporate-speak translators are calling it since they revamped the process this Spring) in the past up to 12 months.
When you set up managed payments so you can sell on Ebay, you set up a direct debit to Ebay which allows them to access your bank account for amounts you owe to them. This may be used to take payments for fees, refunds, postage labels purchased via Ebay etc.
Can seller leave negative feedback if buyer doesn't pay?
Sellers are not allowed to leave a negative feedback rating or a positive rating with a negative comment. The buyer gets a defect for having an unpaid strike. Sellers can block buyers who get 2 or more strikes. If everyone reported and blocked they would stop being a deadbeat because the blocks last a year.
No, eBay's policy does not allow sellers to leave negative feedback for buyers who have not yet paid for their items. Sellers are only able to leave feedback once the transaction is complete, which means the buyer has paid for the item and received it.
How long can a buyer leave negative feedback on eBay?
When can I leave feedback? You can leave feedback for up to 60 days from the date you received your item or from the expected delivery date, whichever comes first. If no expected delivery date is provided, you have up to 90 days from when you completed your purchase to leave feedback for the seller.
Your return policy only applies if the buyer files a buyer's remorse return: Doesn't fit, changed mind, etc. If you do not accept the return willingly then the buyer can ask eBay to step in and forces a refund. You do not get your seller's fees back, you get a defect and the buyer may be allowed to keep the item.
If your item sells, eBay keeps a portion of the sale. This final value fee for most categories is 13.25% of the sale price or lower, plus $0.30 per order. Tip: Listing more than 250 items per month?

As a seller, you can cancel bids on eBay in some situations: when you agree to a buyer's request, when the item isn't available anymore, if you made an error in the listing, or if you're concerned the bidder might be fraudulent.
What happens if the buyer left feedback but did not pay on eBay?
Any reviews left by buyers of the unpaid item will also be removed. In My eBay, select the Seller Account menu. Go to Selling Preferences and select Edit next to Preferences for items awaiting payment. Turn on automatic cancellation of transactions with unpaid items.
Once you've left feedback, you won't be able to edit or delete it, unless you ask the seller to send you a feedback revision request. Alternatively, you can add extra comments or information to your original feedback by leaving a follow-up comment.
Comments can be removed for violating policy, but very few buyers think their comments actually violated policy. Sellers can get feedback removed if the seller can demonstrate that the buyer attempted to use a threat of negative feedback to obtain something the buyer was not entitled to.
