What are GuestPoints? Created to simplify the process for Members exchanging their homes, GuestPoints (GP) are your key to a world of adventures. GuestPoints are awarded as a welcome gift, after you complete your profile, and when you host other Members.
The very best way to obtain GuestPoints is by hosting your fellow HomeExchange members. HomeExchange has several ways to swap homes: reciprocal, non-reciprocal, and hospitality. With a private room exchange and non-reciprocal exchange, you can get a certain amount of GuestPoints per night.
Every home on HomeExchange has a value of GuestPoints per night (GP/night). It enables members to exchange their home using GuestPoints (when a reciprocal exchange is not possible, for example).
Each home is assigned a value in GuestPoints that is calculated automatically by our system based on the location, the number of beds and the equipment. And as you are part of HomeExchange Collection, 50% more GuestPoints are added to the recommended value of your home.
This number is based on the size of the home, the amenities, and its location. The number of GuestPoints for your exchange can be calculated by taking the nightly GuestPoints value of the host's home multiplied by the number of nights you will stay at their home.

How much do guest points cost on HomeExchange?
Can you buy guest points? If you don't have enough guest points for an exchange then there is an option to buy some. If you only need up to 15% of the total number of guest points required for the exchange then these are charged at 25 cents per guest point.
What if I don't have enough guest points for HomeExchange?
If you don't have enough GuestPoints to finalize an exchange, you have 2 options: host members in your home. complete your listing or profile, become a verified member or refer a friend.
The welcome GuestPoints you have earned while creating your account may expire after 12 months without any exchange finalized or if your membership becomes inactive. You will be informed by email prior to this action. However, the GuestPoints you have earned from your exchanges do not expire.
Most home exchange websites have the same basic model. You pay a membership fee that allows you to participate in exchanges with other members. All members create a listing with a description of their home and location. You can browse available homes and contact other members via the website.
A reciprocal exchange is when two members swap homes with each other, whether simultaneously or on different dates. But it is also possible to have a non-reciprocal exchange using GuestPoints.
This means that if you stay for three nights, you will be charged the per night rate multiplied by three. Per night rates are commonly used by hotels to calculate the cost of your stay based on the number of nights you will be staying.
What is the difference between nightly total and stay total?
Nights are the actual number of nights you spend at a hotel. As most hotels have check in times of 2-3PM and check-out times of 12PM, nights are not based on 24 hrs. Stay is the entire time you spent consecutive nights at a hotel. It does not matter how many times you check in and out in between.
Generally, hotels charge per room rather than per person. Most hotels ask how many guests will be staying in the room because they may not allow more than the maximum occupancy of one room for multiple reasons.
You should tell your GP surgery if you change your address. If you do not tell your GP that you've moved there's a risk that: NHS letters giving appointment dates or test results go to the wrong address. your GP surgery may not be able to provide home visits or other services if you move outside their area.
The answer and the process are fairly straightforward: as long as the new GP surgery accepts new patients (so check out if you are within the boundaries of the chosen surgery), then patients are allowed to register with a new surgery, without giving any reason or justification.
Some practices will accept online registrations and others may need you to attend in person to register. When you register with a new GP practice, you will no longer be registered with your previous GP practice. Any outstanding appointments that you had with your previous GP practice will be cancelled.
Before you exchange, check with your home insurance provider that you are covered for damage or theft by your guests. It may pay out for damaged goods, but it is unlikely to cover theft as you have invited people into your home and there has been no forced entry.

Members may cancel their Accounts for any reason within fourteen (14) days of their subscription, provided that no Exchanges have been scheduled for such Member. To cancel an Account, a Member must send an e-mail to: [email protected] or by filling out the form located here.
