Jesus taught that greed is dangerous, as a person's life isn't defined by possessions, and warned against it in parables, highlighting that hoarding wealth makes one "rich toward God" (not in God's eyes) and is foolish, with true life found in God, not material abundance. He urged people to guard themselves against all forms of covetousness, stating you cannot serve both God and money, contrasting worldly wealth with spiritual richness.

Their inability to empathise, their lack of genuine interest in the ideas and feelings of others, and their unwillingness to take personal responsibility for their behaviour and actions makes them very difficult people to be with. They are never satisfied. Greedy people look at the world as a zero-sum game.
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed. Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.
