Based on 2021 Census data, outer London boroughs such as Havering, Bromley, and Richmond upon Thames have the highest proportions of white residents. These areas, particularly Havering and Bromley, are characterized by lower percentages of non-white residents compared to the more diverse, central London boroughs.
Newham has the lowest percentage of both total White and White British residents of all of London's boroughs. The joint-lowest wards with White British population are Green Street East and Green Street West, each having 4.8% – the third-lowest behind Southall Broadway and Southall Green in Ealing.

A closer look at London reveals how many neighbourhoods in the outer boroughs have seen significant falls in the white British population - Newham, Brent, Haringey, Enfield, Ealing, Hounslow, Merton and Lewisham almost form a ring around the capital.
In Bromley, for example - one of London's least deprived and least diverse boroughs - there are only four neighbourhoods in the 20% most deprived neighbourhoods in London. Cities across the UK regions with high White British populations included Swansea (91.5%), Kingston Upon Hull (89.7%), Plymouth (92.2%), Darlington (93.7%), Belfast (96.4% – NI classification "white"), Norwich (84.7%), Liverpool (84.8%) and Chelmsford (90.0%).
The borough consistently cited as having the highest crime rates, making it the least safe by official statistics, is Westminster, followed closely by Camden and Kensington & Chelsea, largely due to high numbers of theft, tourist footfall, and nightlife, though "danger" varies by crime type and specific location within the borough.
Greater London has the largest Pakistani community in the United Kingdom. The 2021 Census recorded 290,549 Pakistanis living in London. However, it only forms 3.3% of London's population, which is significantly lower than other British cities.

Newham's ethnically diverse population has decreased slightly from 71.7% in 2011 to 69.2% at Census 2021, but it is still the most ethnically diverse Borough in London. The majority, (42.2%), of Newham's ethnically diverse population is Asian (see Figure 7).
The London borough of Bexley has been named as one of the top ten friendliest parts of the city, second only to Havering in the north-east of the capital. In a survey by Experian, some 85.6 per cent of the borough's residents said they feel confident that their neighbours will look out for them.
. . . while the least white place in London - by far - is Southall Broadway, where just 8.7% of the population consider themselves White British. There's only one ward in the city with a more than 5% Chinese population, which Millwall in Tower Hamlets at 5.4%.
The least happy borough in London, according to Rightmove's data, was Barking and Dagenham. Coming in dead-last place out of the capital's 33 boroughs, the east London area ranked 220th nationally.
