The Los Angeles Metro Gold Line has been split and rebranded as part of the A Line and the E Line, following the completion of the Regional Connector project. The majority of the former Gold Line (from Azusa to Downtown LA and extending to Long Beach) is now the A Line, while the Eastside segment (Little Tokyo to Atlantic) was merged into the E Line.

The Mumbai Metro Line 8 is called the Gold Line. Closure. On July 24, 2023, the last car of a train on Line 3 Scarborough derailed south of Ellesmere station. There were 45 people on board, with five injuries reported. The TTC closed the line while the cause of the incident was being investigated.
Why we're doing it. This change will provide more reliable service to the 1.2 million riders who take the trains every day. When multiple subway lines share tracks, there is a higher chance of delays as those lines merge with or diverge from each other.
