Although there are no “official” opening hours, most of the stalls will open for business around noontime and will last till late at night (10:00 pm – 11:00 pm). The actual closing time can vary depending on how busy the stalls are.

Our Market operates from 9am to 4pm and can accommodate 52 traders of which 36 are permanent stall holders. A reserve list is operated for the remaining stalls each month. The criteria for trading at the market are that the products on sale need to be: Grown, reared or caught by the stallholder.
Whilst the Old Town Hall building and Market Place is being restored and improved, Whitby Outdoor Market will temporarily relocate to Dock End and Quay Road, Whitby, where residents and visitors can find all their usual favourite market stalls.
