While Alexander Hamilton's sexuality isn't definitively labeled by historical records, many historians and scholars believe he was bisexual or had homoromantic feelings, primarily due to the deeply affectionate and passionate letters he exchanged with his close friend John Laurens during the Revolutionary War, suggesting a romance that went beyond typical 18th-century male friendships. Though he married Elizabeth Schuyler and had an affair with Maria Reynolds, the intense language in his letters to Laurens, filled with declarations of love, has led to significant debate and interpretation about his potential queer identity.

Why are people saying no to Galloway National Park?
Opposition to a Galloway National Park stemmed from fears it would harm the local economy, strain infrastructure, and increase housing costs, while adding bureaucracy for farmers and businesses, with critics arguing existing protections (like the UNESCO Biosphere) were sufficient and that the proposal didn't address local needs for jobs and investment effectively. Concerns focused on increased traffic on inadequate roads, new regulations hindering agriculture, and displacement of locals by soaring house prices due to tourism, outweighing perceived benefits.
