Dying Light 2 takes place in the fictional, walled European city of Villedor, also known as "The Last City," set 22 years after the first game's events in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. The city blends architectural styles from Central/Eastern Europe, hinting at locations like Poland, France, and Germany, but isn't a real-world place, serving as one of the last human strongholds.
There are many similarities between Villedor and Polish cities, particularly the Polish city of Wrocław and Warsaw, the locations of two of Techland's main offices. Villedor's financial district bears many similarities with the skyscrapers of Warsaw, constructed on land that was heavily bombed during WWII.
We've added assets from the first Dying Light so that you can recreate the world of Harran in Dying Light 2 Stay Human. This package consists mainly of slums, small buildings, a hangar set, a railway set, and catwalks.
Dying Light 2 didn't necessarily "fail" commercially (selling 5 million units early on) but disappointed many fans due to a weaker story, less scary atmosphere (less survival horror, more action-adventure), repetitive world design, and a troubled development with narrative rewrites, leading to a jumbled vision that missed the magic of the first game, despite technical advancements.
In the previous installment, the main setting of the game was also a fictional place called Harran, a city-state located within Turkey. While Villedor isn't rooted within a particular country, its architecture anchors it within urban Europe.
What Happened After The Harran Outbreak? [Dying Light 2]
Did Harran get nuked?
The End of Harran
Harran is thus spared immediate destruction but its fate remains unclear. In the other ending, Kyle Crane successfully triggers a nuclear detonation, which was supposed to destroy the surrounding countryside and all of Harran.
Yes, Dying Light 2 can take around 500 hours to 100% complete, but that's for obsessive completionists; the main story takes about 20 hours, while main story plus all side quests typically takes 80-100 hours, so the 500-hour figure is for seeing literally everything.
If the player arrives at her apartment, Thalia and Aiden will have an intimate conversation about the world. Afterwards, you will be given the option to sleep with Thalia.
No, Dying Light: The Beast does not have a point of no return. There is no moment in the campaign that locks you out of active side quests or open-world activities. Some quests do have failure or different outcome states, but those are few and far between.
Harran is a municipality and district of Şanlıurfa Province, Turkey. Its area is 904 km2, and its population is 96,072 (2022). It is approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) southeast of Urfa and 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the Syrian border crossing at Akçakale.
HUMANITY IS SLOWLY DYING. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who delivers goods, brings news, and connects the few remaining survivor settlements in barren lands devastated by the zombie virus. However, your true goal is to find your little sister, Mia, who you left behind as a kid to escape Dr.
Both the Old Town and Slums districts of Harran eventually became overrun by large numbers of the infected, with only small pockets of survivors managing to stay safe.
It's entirely possible to sneak up on volatiles with a flashlight on and get into melee range before they notice... so they will generally only detect the player's flashlight if they would have seen the player anyway (though possibly from a few meters further away).
Extremely violent and gory. The story of 'Dying Light' progresses as the player (character-Crane) completes missions for the survivors, using a variety of melee weapons such as axes, baseball bats and grenades to defeat zombies and enemies and complete objectives.
Walkthrough. Having returned all the other dog tags, Cyra asks Aiden to aid in the recovery of one more: Leon's. Head over to the VNC Tower in Garrison and use the elevator to go back down to the basement of the complex. Then return to the place where Leon was found during the main quest "Broadcast".
The outcome of the quest will determine his fate. If the player decides to give him the small petals, as instructed by the folk healer Margaret, Aitor's condition will stabilize and he will survive.
A whole bunch of quests will become missable if you proceed with the storyline. My best suggestion is - if you care about the sidequests - complete ALL SIDEQUESTS ON THE MAP before proceeding with the Main Story.
