Rhys Ifans lives in Deià in Mallorca, Spain and in a recent interview Fabien Frankel said that he would like to go to Mallorca with Tom Glynn-Carney to see Rhys there.

Why did Rhys Ifans change his name?
Ifans grew up in Ruthin, Denbighshire. He went to Ysgol Pentrececleyn and Ysgol Maes Garmon. A Welsh speaker, he later claimed he adopted the Welsh spelling of his surname at the age of 13 "just to be difficult". He took part in acting classes at Theatr Clwyd, Mold.
Both speak Welsh and English. Llŷr is married to BBC Radio Cymru DJ and television presenter Lisa Gwilym and they live in Y Felinheli. Ifans is a supporter of Welsh independence. "Our industry, culture and economy have suffered greatly – but there is no point looking back at the injustices of the past," he said.

An earlier incarnation of the band featured actor Rhys Ifans on lead vocals. The band are considered to be part of the renaissance of Welsh culture which emerged in the 1990s: other Welsh bands of the time include the Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Catatonia and Gorky's Zygotic Mynci.
Ifans made his small screen debut as the host of Welsh children's TV show, Stwnsh. Various roles in theater and Welsh language television also followed. His breakthrough on the big screen came in the British hit Twin Town (1997), where he acting alongside his younger brother Llyr Ifans.
