Muslim donors are the most generous religious group in the UK, giving an average of £371 per head in 2012, according to research into giving habits by religion.
This year, the list was topped by Sir Chris Hohn for the second year in a row. Sir Chris donated 15% of his wealth to charity in 2021, which equates to an incredible £755 million, or £86,000 per hour.
According to the report, British Muslims donate over £1bn a year and represent 6.5% of the population. The research was conducted by Muslim Charities Forum (MCF) and supported by NfP research.
