Sarai was the Queen of Katolis, the largest of the five Human Kingdoms, until her death. She was the wife of Damian and King Harrow, the older sister of Amaya, the mother of Callum and Ezran, as well as the daughter-in-law of King Atticus.
Kazi is the fifth LGBT character, the first non-binary character, and the first transgender character to be introduced in the series. Terry was the first character confirmed to be trans. The second non-binary character to be introduced was the Merciful One.
Viren survived the blast, but Sarai was mortally wounded. She could only take her last breath as Viren held her in his arms, which was contained in a jar and eventually used to enchant a weapon that would slay Avizandum. A memorial in her honor was later built in the Valley of the Graves.

Background. A caravanserai (or sarai) is a type of roadside inn, providing accommodation for travelers and caravans. During the reign of the Mughal empire, several sarais were built at regular intervals along the major highways of the empire.

Xadia is a continent in The Dragon Prince. It is filled with magical creatures and was the former home of the humans before being exiled to the Human Kingdoms following the discovery of dark magic.
Portrayal. Ezran is the King of Katolis, the son of King Harrow and Queen Sarai, the younger maternal half-brother of Callum, the nephew of Amaya, the grandson of King Atticus, as well as a descendant of the Orphan Queen.
Now God tells Abraham that his wife Sarai's name is to be changed to Sarah. Both names apparently mean princess, though in the following verse God will call her the "mother of nations."
