Alam Singh Nachna (died 22 December 1704 or 1705), also called Alim Singh, was a warrior in the army of Guru Gobind Singh, and was a Rajput turned Sikh. Sarup Das Bhalla of Mahima Prakash describes him as one of Guru Gobind Singh's constant and closest companions. He is also known for killing a lion single handedly.
As the legend goes, once whilst Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Hari Singh were passing through. a jungle, a lion suddenly charged at the Maharaja's horse. In order to protect his king, the latter leaped at the lion and bare-handedly severed its jaws. Since then, he came to be known as “Baghmaar” (lion killer) and “Nalwa”.
Baba Deep Singh had vowed to avenge the desecration of the Golden Temple by the Afghan army. In 1757, he led an army to defend the Golden Temple. The Sikhs and the Afghans clashed in the Battle of Amritsar on 13 November 1757, and in the ensuing conflict Baba Deep Singh was decapitated.

What happened to Maharaja Ranjit Singh's one eye?
Maharaja Ranjit Singh (13/11/1780 – 27/06/1839),was the leader of the Sikh Empire, which ruled the northwest Indian subcontinent in the early half of the 19th century. He survived smallpox in infancy but lost sight in his left eye.
Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was 7'6”feet tall, Baba Bachittar Singh was 7'2” feet tall. A lot of other Singhs including Baba Deep Singh were tall as well. Not only that, they were very muscular.
According to Tony Jacques, Baba Deep Singh was killed by Attal Khan. Legend says that Baba Deep Singh was fully decapitated but continued to fight against the Afghans while holding his head on one hand and his sword on the other.
Bhai Mati Das was sawed in half on 9 November 1675 under the orders of Aurangzeb for his refusal to convert, and his only last wish was that he be allowed to face his Guru while the execution was being carried out.

According to historian Dr Satish K Kapoor, Nalwa, a famous Sikh warrior, won many battles that resulted in the loss of Afghan territories. When he was just 16 years old, Nalwa defeated Afghan ruler Kutab-ud-din Khan in the battle of Kasur in 1807.
How many wives of Maharaja Ranjit Singh are there?
The marriages to Pashtun women happened as the Sikh Empire conquered Kashmir and former Afghan territory on its western-border. Ranjit Singh married many times, in various ceremonies, and had twenty wives.
Bhai Bachittar Singh was the son of Bhai Mani Singh. He made a name for himself when he single-handedly defeated a drunken elephant let loose by the Army of the Mughal Empire during the siege of Lohgarh.

Nalwa was a title bestowed on Hari Singh by Maharaja Ranjit Singh after the former single-handedly killed a tiger that had attacked him. On witnessing the event, Ranjit Singh's exclamation, "Wah! Mere Raja Nal, wah!" (Bravo my Raja Nal, bravo), became "Nal wah".
In total the Khalsa army could count on approximately 153,000 regular and irregular soldiers. It was however led by Lal Singh who, with Tej Singh, betrayed the Sikhs during the course of the war.
Early life and conquests. Ranjit Singh was reported to be short and unattractive. He was blind in one eye and had a face pitted with pockmarks. A lover of life, he liked to surround himself with handsome men and women, and he had a passion for hunting, horses, and strong liquor.
What was the reason behind the death of Ranjit Singh?
According to the chronicles of Ranjit Singh's court historians and the Europeans who visited him, Ranjit Singh took to alcohol and opium, habits that intensified in the later decades of his life. He died in his sleep on 27 June 1839.
Battle of Aliwal. This battle was fought on 28 January 1846 during the First Sikh War (1845-46). A British-Indian force took on the Sikh army of the Punjab, known as the Khalsa (literally 'the pure'). It ended in a decisive British victory and is seen by some as a 'near perfect battle'.
On 18 June 2023, Nijjar was shot and killed in the parking lot of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurudwara. On 18 September 2023, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that Canadian intelligence agencies were "pursuing credible allegations of a potential link" between Indian government agents and the assassination of Nijjar.
Given their selflessness in fighting against the British, Afghans, Mughals, and Indian wars, Sikhs are regarded by the majority of Indians as the most courageous community.
Bhai Dayala (Gurmukhi: ਭਾਈ ਦਿਆਲਾ ਜੀ), also known as Bhai Dayal Das, was an early martyr of Sikhism. He was boiled alongside his Sikh companions Bhai Mati Das and Bhai Sati Das and the Ninth Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur.
