Back in 2021 new works got underway in Old Colwyn - closing the promenade road between Splash Point (Old Colwyn Arches) and Rotary Way. At the other end at Rhos-on-Sea work started in 2022 on a £14m project to revamp the prom and bring in sand for a golden new beach.

Rhos on Sea is extremely nice and very picturesque, but is is a lot smaller than Llandudno, and apart from a walk on the front, and a few very nice alternative shops, couple of pub/eateries few cafes' and gift shops, there isn't very much there.
It never gets too busy and you can always find free parking. Such a beautiful place to visit even if it isn't amazing weather. You can take the kids crabbing and look at the shops on the streets. Easy to access once you get off the motorway and there is a lidl nearby if you need anything.
