Monzo cards may not work in Thailand due to frozen card settings, disabled magstripe/ATM access in the app, or out-of-date merchant systems. Ensure your card is active for international use, enable the magstripe for older ATMs, check daily limits, and try selecting "Credit" instead of "Savings" on terminals.

Why is my Monzo card suddenly not working?
It's likely a faulty card and needs replacing, but before you do that, check that you haven't accidentally frozen your card first. Also, when you try using your card, do you get any notifications from the Monzo app? If you get a notification, this might tell you what's wrong (and is likely NOT a faulty card issue).
Whenever you pay for something with your card, there's a code for the transaction. So when we see a payment with a gambling code, we can block it. Sometimes if the company doesn't have a gambling code, it can be tricky for us to stop the payment in time.
