"Jaybird" is a slang term most commonly used in the phrase "naked as a jaybird," which means completely nude, unclothed, or exposed. It often describes someone who is bold, carefree, or, in older contexts, refers to someone acting as a fool, a novice, or an incessant talker.
The word was first a 19th-century term of endearment, ultimately from Middle English, in which bird could be applied to young living things in general, not merely the feathered variety. Since the Middle Ages bird could mean girl but that's probably just a confusion amongst other words such as burd.
Then there's “Crazy as a jaybird” which makes a little more sense given their raucous behavior and loud calls. Referring to a foolish or talkative person as a chattering jay probably originated from their scientific name which means “blue chatterer.”
Its scientific name derives from the Greek and Latin, translating to “crested, blue chattering bird.” Its common name comes from the perception that it is blue, and that its calls sound to some like, “Jay… jay. jay!” I can't really say that the Blue Jay has a song. More likely, it is just noises.

The origin of "buck naked" (completely bare) is uncertain, with theories pointing to its connection with "buckskin" (smooth hide of a male deer), a racist term for Black or Native American men (often called "bucks" and displayed naked at auctions), or simply being a variation of the newer "butt naked," though "buck naked" appeared earlier in print (early 1900s).
